Accessing Your Trips

  • Updated

The RV LIFE Mobile App's Trips feature lets you view and manage the trips you’ve planned using the web version of Trip Wizard. The app also supports spontaneous point-to-point navigation, allowing you to easily navigate to new destinations as needed.

All the trips created on RV LIFE Trip Wizard are automatically synced to the RV LIFE Mobile App. The synced trips can be found in the Trips section of the mobile app. This feature allows you to navigate, review, and edit your trips on the go.

Trips Section

Trips can be located at the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen. With the Trips feature, you can:

  • Begin Live Navigation: Open a trip to get turn-by-turn directions tailored to your RV’s specifications, ensuring safe and efficient travel.
  • Edit Trips: Make adjustments to your itinerary as needed, whether it’s adding a new stop, changing a reservation, or updating your travel dates.
  • Access Offline:  Download your trip details and maps for offline use, so you can navigate in areas with little to no connectivity.

Tapping Trips will open up the Your Trips screen. Your Trips holds a list of your trips synced from Trip Wizard

The trips are categorized into three sections—Active Trips, Tentative Trips, and Archive—based on how you have classified them in Trip Wizard.

  • Active Trips: These are your current and upcoming trips that you’ve created in RV LIFE Trip Wizard and set as “Active”.
  • Tentative Trips: These are trips you’re considering but haven’t finalized yet, and have set as “Tentative” on Trip Wizard.
  • Archived Trips: These are the trips that you have set as “Archive”.

You can sort these trips by Creation Date, Start Date and Alphabetically.

Trip Overview

Selecting any trip on the Your Trips screen brings up the Trip Overview screen. The Trip Overview screen provides a detailed view of your selected trip.

At the top of the screen you’ll see the essential trip details like the trip name, travel dates, stops, nights, distance, and estimated trip cost.

Below this information, you’ll find two buttons:

  • Download Offline Maps for this Trip: This button downloads offline maps, park details, reviews, and tips for your trip, allowing you to navigate offline.
  • Edit Button (Pencil Icon): This button opens RV LIFE Trip Wizard in your browser, allowing you to edit your trip.

NOTE: For a better experience, we recommend using a larger screen, such as a tablet or computer, to edit your trip in your browser.

This is followed by the trip navigation section. It is organized by days, with each day of travel separated from the next. This includes the park name, rating, and distance to the park.

To start navigating your journey on the mobile app:

  • Tap on "Navigate" on the starting point. This will open the RV Safe GPS screen.
