RV LIFE Trip Wizard allows you to create a GPX file that can be used with many Garmin devices. Below is the information you need to use the GPX file with your Garmin unit.
Creating a GPX File
To create a GPX file using RV LIFE Trip Wizard, follow the instructions provided in our Exporting Trips to GPS guide. This guide will walk you through the steps to generate a GPX file from your planned trip.
Using the GPX File with Garmin Devices
Direct GPX File Transfer
Many Garmin units can accept a GPX file directly. Please refer to your unit's manual to confirm compatibility and instructions for transferring the file.
Using Garmin Drive
If your Garmin unit does not accept the GPX file directly, you can use Garmin Drive to convert the RV LIFE GPX file into a compatible format. Garmin Drive is a free tool available from Garmin. Please consult your unit's manual or the Garmin website for detailed instructions on using Garmin Drive.
