Where Did It Go? Finding Your Way Around the New Trip Wizard

  • Updated

Can’t find something you used to use? Don’t worry, nothing’s lost!

Classic Trip Wizard (Old View) retired on October 26, 2026. Most of the features you know and love are still here; a few of them just moved to a new spot.

The biggest change: there’s no more single Default Settings screen. Your settings are now split between two places:

  • Your RV Garage: your RV’s details, like routing and fuel
  • Your Profile: your personal settings, like units and map pins

Find what you’re looking for, then jump to that section for step-by-step help.

Start Here: Open Account Settings

Most settings now live in Account Settings. Here’s how to get there:

  1. Click your user icon.
  2. Click Your Account.

    Screenshot 2026-10-28 at 10.50.51 PM.png

  3. Click Account Settings.

    Screenshot 2026-10-28 at 10.53.24 PM.png

You’re now on the Profile & Account Settings page!

Display Pin Preferences

In Classic, you could change your map pins in two places: Trip Tools and your Profile. Now there’s just one spot, your Profile, so you only have to set them once.

  1. Open Account Settings.
  2. Look for the Profile, Garage & Preferences section.
  3. Click Display Pin Preferences. You’ll find it at the bottom of that section.

Unit Settings

Miles or kilometers? You used to pick this in Default Settings or for each trip in Trip Settings. Now you set it once in your Profile, and it applies to all your trips.

  1. Open Account Settings.
  2. Look for the Profile, Garage & Preferences section.
  3. Click Units of Measurement. It’s the third item down.

    Screenshot 2026-10-28 at 11.16.45 PM.png

Old habits? No problem. If you head to Trip Tools → Trip Settings looking for your units, you’ll see a banner that says “Unit Settings have moved to Profile.” Click See Where to Find Them, and we’ll guide you.

Pre-Departure Emails

Love getting a heads-up before you hit the road? In Classic, you turned pre-departure emails on or off in each trip’s Trip Settings. Now you manage them in one place, your Profile, and your choice applies to all your trips.

  1. Open Account Settings.
  2. Click Edit Notifications.
  3. Click Trip Reminders.
  4. Turn on Pre-Departure Reminders.

    Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 9.03.54 PM.png

You’ll get everything you need before each destination: weather, directions, park info and tips from the RV community.

Meet Your RV Garage

Think of your RV Garage as home base for your rig. You add your RV and its details once, and they’re ready for every trip you plan. No more typing the same info over and over!

This is also where your routing preferences, propane setting and fuel info live now.

Routing Preferences

Want to skip tolls, highways, ferries or unpaved roads? In Classic, you set this in Default Settings or Trip Settings. Now it’s saved to your RV, so every trip with that RV follows the same rules.

  1. Open Account Settings.
  2. Click Your RV Garage.
  3. Click your RV’s name.

    Screenshot 2026-10-28 at 11.28.33 PM.png
  4. Click Routing Preferences.

    Screenshot 2026-10-28 at 11.30.04 PM.png

Carrying Propane

Traveling with propane? This toggle used to be in Default Settings. Now you’ll find it with your routing preferences. Follow the steps above, and you’ll see the Carrying Propane option there.

RV Fuel Settings

Your tank size, fuel economy, reserve and fuel type used to live in Default Settings or Trip Settings. Now they’re saved to your RV, which helps us plan your fuel stops.

  1. Open Account Settings.
  2. Click Your RV Garage.
  3. Click your RV’s name.
  4. Click RV Details.
  5. Click the Fuel Info tab.

Your Trips

Creating or Opening a Trip

In Classic, you used the New Trip and Open a Trip buttons in the top menu. Now everything trip-related lives in one place: the Trips button.

  1. Click Trips.

    Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 5.55.28 PM.png
  2. You’ll see Your Trips, a list of all your saved trips.
    • Want to start a new adventure? Click Create New Trip at the top.

      Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 5.57.44 PM.png
    • Want to pick up where you left off? Click any trip to open it.

Deleting a Trip

In Classic, clicking a trip in your list gave you a pop-up asking whether you wanted to open it or delete it. Now, clicking a trip takes you straight into it. That’s handy when you just want to get planning!

To delete a trip from your list:

  1. Click Trips to open Your Trips.
  2. Click the three dots (•••) next to the trip.

    Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 6.00.50 PM.png
  3. Click Delete Trip.

Already inside the trip? You can also delete it from Trip Tools (the wrench icon), just like before.

Trip Totals

Wondering how far you’re going or how many nights you’ve planned? In Classic, your totals were in a TOTAL row at the bottom of your stop list. Now they’re right at the top, in the header above your stops, so you can see them at a glance:

Nights • Stops • Miles • Cost

Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 6.06.17 PM.png

Trip Expenses

In Classic, you could set default expenses for every trip in Default Settings. Now expenses are set per trip, so each adventure can have its own budget.

  1. Open your trip.
  2. Click Trip Tools (the wrench icon).
  3. Click Trip Settings.
  4. Click the Expenses tab.

    Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 6.08.05 PM.png

From here, you can enter your camping, meals, misc and cost-per-gallon estimates.

Your Stops

Editing, Locking or Deleting a Stop

In Classic, hovering over a stop showed a row of little icons for editing, locking and deleting. Now you just click the stop. Its details open right where your stop list was, with everything you need in one spot.

When you’re done, click the back arrow to return to your stop list.

 Locking Your Stop Dates

Got a reservation you don’t want shifting around? There’s now a quick way to lock it in:

  1. Click the stop.
  2. Click the lock button. That’s it!

    Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 6.12.31 PM.png

Your dates stay put, even when you change other stops.

You can still lock dates the same ways as before: while adding the stop, or from Edit Stay Details.

Deleting a Stop

How you delete a stop depends on whether you’re staying the night.

  • Overnight stop: Click the stop, then click the trash icon in the stay summary.

    Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 6.17.21 PM.png
  • Day stop: Click the stop, click Edit Stop Details, then click Delete in the bottom left corner.

    Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 6.19.50 PM.png

Adding a Stop

There’s a handy new way to add stops! Click the + between any two stops to add a stop right where you want it.

Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 6.23.52 PM.png

⚠️ Planning a day stop? Most new stops are set to 1 night by default. Gas stops are the exception and start at 0. For a quick visit, like lunch or a scenic overlook, change Number of Nights to 0 so it doesn’t count as an overnight stay.

Reordering your Stops

Changed your mind about the route? You can still drag and drop stops to reorder them, just like before. There’s just one extra step: make sure you’re in the All Stops view first.

  1. Open your trip.
  2. Click the view drop-down above your stop list (it may say Overnights Only).
  3. Choose All Stops.

    Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 9.50.12 PM.png
  4. Hold the six dots (⠿) on the left side of a stop, then drag it to where you want it.

Map Settings

Looking for the Map Settings button? It’s had a little makeover! It’s now called Map and has a ⚙️ gear icon. You’ll find it at the top of the screen, right next to the search bar.

Driving Radius & Driving Distance

In Classic, you could set your driving radius and distance in a few places: Default Settings, Trip Settings or Map Settings. Now there’s just one spot: click the ⚙️ Map button and choose Driving Radius.

Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 6.37.35 PM.png

And here’s the good news: your Driving Distance settings, which used to be in Trip Settings, are right there too, just below your radius options!

Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 7.55.31 PM.png

Everything about how far you drive is now in one place!

Campground Cards

Campground cards have a fresh new look! Here’s what changed:

  • Ratings: In Classic, you saw stars and a score out of 10, like 8.7/10. Now you’ll just see the stars (out of 5) and the number of reviews next to them, like (18).

    Screenshot 2026-10-29 at 6.42.48 PM.png
  • Center button: It’s still there! It’s now just the   icon in the bottom left of the card.

Settings That Are No Longer Available

A few settings from Classic’s Default Settings didn’t make the move to the new Trip Wizard:

  • Autoload my last trip
  • Stop Details Display Preference (hover or click). Now you simply click a stop to see its details.
  • Map Resolution (high or low)

We know change can take some getting used to. If you miss one of these, we’d love to hear from you! Your feedback helps us decide what to build next.
