What are the different road colors on the map?

  • Updated

Here's an explanation of the different road colors:

RED (Highway): Highways connect countries, states, cities, and busy areas. They usually have limited entrances and exits, are for motorized vehicles only, have higher speed limits, and often have a median (a barrier) between lanes going in opposite directions.

ORANGE (Main Road): Main roads connect cities, towns, and urban areas. They provide a fast way to travel, especially to and from highways.

YELLOW (Local Access): Local access roads serve as middle-ground roads. They are not as busy as main roads but are faster than small neighborhood roads. In cities, they connect residential areas to main roads.

WHITE (Residential): Residential roads are quiet roads inside neighborhoods where people live. These roads have minimal traffic and are mostly used by residents. Sometimes, they also connect to local access and main roads.

These road colors help you understand the type of road you're looking at on a map and what to expect when driving on it.
