RV LIFE Trip Wizard allows you to lock the dates for stops that need to remain fixed, such as campground reservations.
Once a stop's dates are locked, RV LIFE Trip Wizard keeps the stop on those dates as you add or rearrange other stops. This makes it easy to plan the rest of your trip around reservations or other date-specific destinations.
For example, suppose you have a three-night reservation at a campground beginning August 17 and departing August 20. You can lock those dates and then plan the stops leading up to your reservation. RV LIFE Trip Wizard will keep the reservation dates fixed and show you how many nights remain unplanned.
Locking Stop Dates
To add a stop with locked dates:

Click Add Stop and search for the campground or destination you want to add. You can also click the + (plus) icon beneath an existing stop in your Trip Itinerary to add a stop at that point in your trip.

In the Add to Trip panel, turn on Lock Date of Stay.
- Under Arrival and Departure Dates, click the calendar icon.

Select your arrival and departure dates, then click Confirm.
- Add a note, if desired.

Click Add Stop to save the stop and the locked dates.
The stop will now appear in your Trip Itinerary with a lock icon, indicating that the dates for the stop are locked.
RV LIFE Trip Wizard also displays the number of unplanned nights between your previous stop and the locked stop. As you add overnight stops, the number of unplanned nights adjusts automatically so you can see how many nights you still need to plan before your reservation.
Unlocking a Locked Stop
If your plans change, you can unlock a stop's dates:
- Click the stop in your Trip Itinerary to open the stop information.
- Click the lock icon to unlock the dates.
Once unlocked, the stop's dates can change as you make adjustments to your trip.
A red lock icon indicates the stop is locked. A black and white lock indicates an unlocked stop.
