Exporting Trips to Microsoft Excel

  • Updated

Want to keep a copy of your trip or add a few details of your own? RV LIFE Trip Wizard lets you download your trip as a spreadsheet that you can open in Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program.

The file includes your trip details and turn-by-turn directions, so you can review your plans and add notes in one place.

How to Export Trip to Microsoft Excel

  • Open the trip you want to export.

  • Click the wrench icon on the trip drawer.

  • You will see the trip tools menu. Click on “Export Trip”.

  • You will have three Export Trip Options. Select “Excel Export”.
  • A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm that you want to download the file. After you have confirmed the download, the download will begin.

NOTE: If your device’s preferences are set to automatic downloads, the download will begin immediately after you click “Excel Export”.

Accessing the Downloaded File

Once the download is complete, you can open the file from your browser’s Downloads list or find it in your device’s Downloads folder. Open it using Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program that supports Excel files.

NOTE: Your downloaded file is saved in .xlsx format. Its name begins with “trip”, followed by the download date and UTC time. For example: “trip-24-02-08-15-58.xlsx”.
