Archiving a Trip

  • Updated

The Archive Trip function can be used to remove an Active trip without deleting the trip, so that you can access the trip any time in the future if needed. The Archive Trip function can help reduce the number of open trips to avoid any confusion.

Note: You can archive an unlimited number of trips.

Archiving An Open Trip

To archive an open trip:

  • Click on the Wrench Icon on the trip drawer next to your trip name. This is the wrench icon: wrench icon.png.
  • This will open the Trip Tools menu. Select “Trip Settings”.
  • Under Trip Status, click on the dropdown menu, and select “Archived”.

  • Click on the “Save” button at the bottom and your trip will be archived. You will see that the trip name will now have “(Archived)” written next to it.

Opening An Archived Trip

An archived trip can always be returned to the Open Trip menu at any time to make changes, or to change its status.

To view an archived trip:

  • Select “Open A Trip” in the header next to the RV LIFE Trip Wizard logo

  • The My Trips window will appear. Select the Archived tab to view a list of your archived trips.
  • Click on the trip you wish to view, and select Open Trip. You can now make changes to your trip.
TIP: To return a trip to Active status or change it to Tentative, simply click on the Wrench Icon again and choose the “Trip Settings” option. Follow the same steps you did when you initially archived your trip, but this time select “Active” or "Tentative" instead. Click on “Save” to complete the process.
